They have definitely changed alot from Warhawk. But I am very much enjoying it so far and am even more ready for the game to come out!

As a matter of fact, i could not agree with you any more. i'm not to fond of the building platforms, or maybe the game will have a few more features i know the two weapons for the hawks them selves will be better, than just the two weapons in the beta.

Re: Starhawk Beta now open to public!
I very much enjoy being able to call in buildings. However, I do hope for a limitation to be inforced, such as each player can only call 1 garage, or each team only gets 2 garages, or something similar.
What is frustrating to me is when you have 3 people drop a garage right at your main base. With larger maps which I am quite sure the game will have; this will be much less of an issue, but some of the funnest modes/maps from Warhawk cannot be executed properly with this new feature. For example some of the small maps from Warhawk where you were just in real close doing TDM, or CTF was great! no jeeps, no tanks, just lots of machine guns/knife kills/rocket launchers. I have some of my best memories on those maps.
All-in-all I think the game is going to be great, and even as is in Beta form is playing really well.

in reference to maps
i guess from what i have been reading that maps on the starhawk beta, are actually small maps, and will be later added benefits like small maps no vehicles just intense killing. So DrMacro, they will be smaller in some sence and more controllable.

Starhawk Multiplayer and Split Screen News
LightBox Interactive and Sony Entertainment confirmed that Starhawk will feature two-player, splitscreen multiplayer. While Warhawk could handle up to four players, the team decided against letting that many on the same television because "not enough people ever used four-player splitscreen in Warhawk." -I call B.S. The splitscreen covers both co-op and head-to-head multiplayer.
What I do think is neat, is that Starhawk gets the ability for two profiles to sign into a single PS3. That means two friends can both use their PSN IDs to log into Starhawk, fight the universe online, and keep all their XP. The one caveat is that player two can't earn trophies or character customizations because they're saved directly to the PS3 system.
