Atari files for bankruptcy

Yet another big name in the gaming industry has ran to the court pleading, this time Atari. The main reason behind this is to bring more focus to making digital and mobile titles. Atari has had hard times the last few years with revenue plummeting the past few years by up to 40%. The U.S. portion of the company has lost the financial help from BlueBay Asset Managment as of Dec 31, which puts a hold on releasing games which are currently ready to be put out.


We all know Atari is certainly not what it once was, but could this be the beginning of something new?
