Minecraft 1.5 coming Jan 2013, Focuses on Redstone

Minecraft, the indie overnight million dollar game, is keeping up with its update stage with another big one coming January. This update will focus on Redstone, giving it variable signal strength, and introduces and new capacitor block. You can also expect to see some updated minecarts, nether based ore for creating the capacitors, and a daylight detector, which can be used for solar panel like objects. Along with all those bug fixes will make their way into the update along with a new API, that allows users to create plug-ins for the game. Mojangs site will feature a list of Plug-ins made by users that can be downloaded for free, which can add or remove functionality from the game but not modify the core engine.
