What is Borderlands Legends?

A news story popped up this week about Borderlands Legends. A Borderlands game for iOS; as we dont delve to deep into mobile gaming here at IGO, I all but ignored the story. First it kinda of rubbed me the wrong way as I feel there should be Borderlands 2 on Vita, I can't figure out for the life of me why it isn't? So here they are bringing Borderlands to iOS but not Vita? Until this morning, I cared less about this monstrosity, and then I stumbled across the screenshots. Apparently this is not the same game, or even a striped down version of the current game, but rather a top down action rpg hybird?



Details are pretty scarce at this point, but we do know that the gameplay’s driven by randomized, objective-based missions; enemy difficulty scales alongside players’ unlimited ability to level-up; guns and gear can be purchased from mustachioed merchant Marcus; and, like its console counterparts, Legends allows lethally wounded players to score a life-reviving “second wind” with a well-placed slug.
Cost is thought to be $4.99 for iPhone, and $6.99 for iPad.
