Microsoft likes to update the XBox 360 dash board about once every 2 years or so. Personally I was a fan of the original blade set up. The last update has been criticized for its ads, and impossible navigation. With a new update on the way, being released today for many users, and within the next week for the rest of us, lets take a look at the dashboard changes.

What was so wrong with the blade set up, I liked it.

This iteration seemed like a mess at the time, but I'll take it back now.

The current dashboard that receives alot of complaints.

Awesome, more ads to look at. Maybe Microsoft thinks of this idea as a newspaper, people buy them and they have ads in them. People like the ads too!

Also the Facebook and Twitter applications will be removed when users apply the update "we're retiring the Facebook and Twitter apps" in an effort to "streamline" app functionality on 360. Basically you will need to use IE9 for your Socail media updates, if you do so from your console.
